Default C section scheduling issue

Uggh. I have only seen one doc in my practice because I am having a scheduled c section. Now today when they finally tried to get me on the schedule we find out that my doc is not on call for most of the window that my appt needs to be inside of. I either have to be scheduled almost on my due date and hope the baby doesn't come on its own or take my chances with someone else. I am not willing to sacrifice the baby's health to make an earlier appt just to get him, and of course he is not either. If it is a matter of a day or 2 I am ok with it, but not a whole week or more. The scheduling person was supposed to call me this morning and let me know what the final verdict was and she never called.

I am trying to keep this in perspective. The baby will come out no matter who delivers it. Maybe this is God's way or telling me I need to go for a vbac!

How big of a window is there for scheduling a c/s? I hope you get it scheduled soon. I do not want a c/s but I sure wish I knew when the date was going to be. I hope you can get the doctor you want.

They only have a week. I have to be at least 39 weeks along and my doc is on call right before that-even a day early means that the hospital won't do it due to new regulations. It used to be ebtween 38 and 40 weeks, now it is 39 and 40.

That is what I was thinking! If he is on within a few days, maybe he can!
