  • took all of 10 minutes. LOL They weighed me, checked my BP and listened to the heart beat. That's it! I didn't gain any weight, so they were wondering about my nausea, but I assured them I was getting the nutrition I need. They said the HB sounded great and they'd see me in 6 weeks for the big u/s. My midwife told me I could take Zyrtec for my sinus/allergy troubles or I could keep taking the sudafed 2x a day. My sister got to go with me and hear the heart beat, she was pretty excited. DH had to work, but they scheduled my anatomy u/s for Oct 10th, DH's birthday!!!

  • Sounds good. You get to go on the early side to find out what it is - have fun.

BTW, all your appointments will be like that except for the one on the 10th. That will probably be your last u/s - unless there is an issue. So, anyone who wants to see the baby (like mom etc) should come with you.

That is a normal routine check - they maybe check your urine, and once the belly starts to grow, they'll measure the height of that. Mine were always 10 minutes and out.

  • I am actually having a 3d or 4d ultrasound at 27 weeks!
But my mom and sisters are coming to the 18 week u/s anyway. LOL Around here they usually do the anatomy u/s between 16-19 weeks. My sister had her's at 16 weeks. I could have gotten mine sooner, but Oct 10th worls better for me and work! LOL
