Mackenzie Desirae was born this morning at 11:05 am! She weighed 7lbs 9oz and is 19 3/4 inches long. Our homebirth went perfectly, although I won't lie, labor was super painful and hard!!

She was actually born in the birth pool, pushing was much more comfortable there. I didn't realize that she was so close to being born and pushed too hard, and her head popped out very quickly, leaving me with a 2nd degree tear - not bad enough to have stitched, and it hasn't caused too much trouble or pain so far - hopefully that will continue and it will heal nicely. I feel awesome for having just given birth. Sore and tired, and STARVING today, but compared to the recovery from c-sections I'm just amazed. I can walk and pee and nurse without pain, and take care of my baby myself!!

She latched on perfectly from the start, and she's just going to be a little boobaholic. I've had very little soreness and hope that keeps up! I might be forgetting something but I don't know what... I'll probably post a birth story in the next week,
if I can get her to stop nursing long enough to type it up.
