  • Ugh am I sick. And not only am I sick, both of the girls are sick. My head is pounding, my throat is raw and sore, my nose is stuffy and red, and my post nasal drip makes me want to
I'm not sure if it's the morning sickness starting or if it's from being sick. I know that I'm not supposed to take any cold medicine, but is it safe to take some tylenol? I've got the walmart brand that is asprin free, 500 mg each tablet. Maybe just take one? I am so miserable and feel like I can't keep up with the kids either. I did some research, some websites say it's ok to take in the first trim other say no because everything is starting to form. Not sure what to do here. I have a feeling that both of the girls will be home tomorrow and I'm already feeling that I can't keep up with them.

If I can't take it, what else can I do? I've been running the vaporizor with Vicks in it, drinking so much orange juice I'm turing orange, drinking decaff hot tea.....I'm getting

    Tylenol is a-ok!!
Anything else, I'd just give the OB a call about in the morning. They have lists of what's OK and what's NOT. I probably drove the secretary at my OB's office crazy with all my "is this/that okay" calls, but you wanna do the right thing!

Boil a pot of water, turn off the heat and then stick your head over it (drape a towel over your head to help keep the steam in there if you want). I've done this with sinus infections and it REALLY DOES help... even if you do look really goofy for 10min!

& GO TO BED!! If the girls are home tomorrow, you should all 3 just camp out on the couch and have a movie day!

  • Thanks for the advice. I am so exhausted and can't sleep. I'm gonna take a tylenol and try to to get some sleep. DH is snoring next to me, must be nice lol.

also, you can use saline nasal spray to help with the congestion.
    (yes, tylanol is okay)

and - the Breathe right nasal strips help breathe with a stuffed up nose.

  • I also have a cold and got my list from the doc. You can also take Ther a flu, which has really helped me. I get the kind in a bottle not the kind you mix up. It also helps me sleep.
