Unhappy Hi. im worried.

Hi. i usually have regular periods. my cycle is always 28 days. i’m 26 years old. i have a 7 year old, a 1 year old and a 2year old.all of them were vaginal delivery. i never had any delayed cycles ever in my life. they always been on time. i missed a period and 13 days late now. last menstrual cycle was June 30th of 2012. and still no sign as of today august 10 2012. i have been taking diet supplements call phentermine 37.5 for 2 weeks now since july 30th 2012. but im not sure if thats what's effecting my cycle or not. i been taking dietary pills for the longest. and it didn’t effect me before. when my period was suppost to come by july 28th. i felt like it was going to start. but it never came. ever since then i been experiencing bloating,a bubbly tumbly feeling in lower stomach everyday, a little sleepy, i pee alot and the color of it is darker then usual. i took a ept pregnancy test but negative. i still have no signs of spotting or light bleeding to dark. i am also trying to work on having another child. any thoughts anyone?

Hi Katy,
I had never heard of phentermine before but I looked it up and it's not safe to use while pregnant or trying to become pregnant. I think it would be best if you stop taking those pills right away and see a doctor to find out if you're pregnant or not. Until you see the doctor, you can do more at home testing, sometimes you get false negatives.

Best of luck!

Hi katy.

to The Baby Corner.

Thirteen days late and a negative HPT is definitely funky.

Have you taken only one HPT?

I checked online about phentermine and it looks like it can cause some menstrual changes. I would talk to your OB/GYN about using it. If you're looking to get pregnant, you should stop taking it--it is a pregnancy class X drug. That's a no-no.

Regardless, it sounds like it would be good to consult with your OB about how to proceed.

Please let us know what you find out!
