coupons?

Dh and I watched that show one night and they were saying this lady had like 40 years worth of toilet paper! It almost seemed like a hoarding disease to us. She even mentioned how it affected her relationship with her family.
I tried to coupon for a while, and we got soem good deals, but we noticd we were buyinga lot of stuff we normally wouldn't have and our stores don't double or stack either, so over all our grocery bill went up a bit. Since then I have tried to only cut coupons for things we would buy anyway.

I agre-- and lots of times i've noticed that the name brand stuff WITH a coupon is still way more expensive than the generic.

The last two trips to the grocery store I've used store coupons and the brand coupons along with the circular and saved $90 each time, plus I've earned the gas rebate my store has.
Not too shabby.

I think the states must be better for cuponing than Canada but I am not sure I love that new show people really put in the work & wow they are all so organized everyones stock pile they show is so organized.

I know I am "thanking" people 6 months later, but I need the tips and am thankful, lol!

I don't think I will become an "extreme" couponer; I just cannot fathom buying stuff I don't need and do not have the space to pile tons of toilet paper or anything for that matter. But I do need to save money somewhere!
