Oh, I totally get what you are going through. Last year when we moved here from SC I told DS's karate place that we were moving about a week or so before we moved. They said no problem, just call corporate (who does the billing) and let them know. So I call them and they tell me that I have to give a 30 day notice and that I can't give notice until my next month is paid. So they were basically trying to get another 2 months from me. I told them to shove it! I refused to pay for a service that he was clearly not receiving because we lived in another state. Luckily they didn't debit it from our account because we were set up to pay it ourselves monthly. Technically I still "owe" them that money. From then on I have made a point to just assume that everyone has to have a 30 day notice to stop billing me for something.
