I try to tell him that, how it works. I can't even get him to sit with me and figure up a budget.

We go grocery shopping on every payday...I swear he fusses at me the entire time about what we need and what we don't need. I'm confused? Who cooks, me or him?! If I even browse the craft section, or any section for that matter---he automatically starts in on how HE'S trying to save money.

I gave up my Netflix acct to save money...Less than $10 a month, but I thought---it's not worth it I can find all sorts of things online to keep me occupied. He has an Xbox live acct and gamefly...he refuses to let that go.

My friend actually suggested that I withdraw a certain amount of money each week without telling him or saying it was for something benign and starting a secret stash. I'm seriously considering it, I just hate that it seems suspicious and it feels like I'm lying.

I'm going to look around here for any budgeting classes or suggest that the library do one--I'm sure he'll listen to someone else because I obviously don't know anything. (Sorry, this is my frustration coming out) LOL

The YAY part aside from paying off the car was that we paid it off early saving almost 2K worth of finance charges. I was really proud of him.

I with ya Jen- trying to get Dh on the same page and STAYING on the same page is near impossible. Unfortunately it is not restricted to just finances at our house- we are so utterly different in many ways. It is frustrating!

You and I can definitely relate. It's a good thing we created such an amazing child together. LOL

Yay! on paying off your car. Boo on it needing repairs.
