$.86 for 3/4 jar of pasta sauce (we've tried all kinds and our favorite is actually Kroger Homestyle).
$1 loaf french bread (slice down middle, spread with butter, sprinkle with garlic powder and parsley)

So we eat a whole dinner for under $3 (About $.72/serving).
