I saw it Friday morning and loved it! I thought they did a good job with a very big novel, but I agree with some of Karen's quibbles.

No yet. I may not see it in theaters either. I've seen all of the Harry Potter movies, but that's because they came on cable.

i feel like they made it into a movie that was meant for people that haven't read the books. but loved how the movie looked aesthetically.

I finally got to see it on Sat & liked it a lot. Its been a while since I read the book so I didn't have it in my mind comparing differences like with the last 2 movies - made a BIG difference!

I didn't like the ending hanging, but I don't see how else they could end it considering there is more to the story to be told.

DH had to work and I made my kids take me for my birthday.

Rachel wanted to go and liked it but Leanna didn't as I expected. I knew there wasn't anything that would be too scary, just that it wasn't her type of movie. The theater was more crowded than I expected for a movie that's been out so long. And I was surprised at how many kids that were there! And a lot of them were younger than Leanna!
