Question Camera suggestions

I want to get a good camera and DH finally seems to be on board with it. I have a basic point and shoot and want something more with different lens, etc.

What kind of camera do you have? What do you like about it? Is there something I should be looking for when buying a camera?

Thanks!

I have a Nikon D40x and I love it. I have the standard 18-55mm lens it came with and also have 55-200mm lens and a 55mm lens. I have a SB400 speedlight also.

I LOVE MY CAMERA and accessories!

I have the Nikon D40 and love it. I have the 2 lenses that Brandi has and I also have the 18-200mm VR lens and LOVE that one. I keep that one on there all the time and I don't miss many shots at all.

My cousin just bought the D90 and I'm not sure what that one is, but I'm assuming it is similar just newer???

i have the nikon D60 and i think it's fabulous. i also have two lenses, 18-50mm and 50-200mm. it's my first DSLR so i don't really know about what's different about each model, it was affordable to us and i wanted something 'big' which could change lenses. i like that it has a viewfinder as well as the LCD display. i need to learn more about using it, though!

i think that most of these cameras have rechargeable batteries, which they need (i think you'd be going through AAA's too quickly to make it worth it) but i did misplace the charger once and that was a PITA!! i would recommend getting a second battery and having it charged all the time! (note to self: get second battery)
