Remember a few weeks back I asked if anyone had sent their camera to be cleaned?

Well I sent mine 6 weeks ago, and they have no idea where it is.

they ARE going to make things right, right?

I bought the extended warrenty at Ritz before I realized that the free cleaning included means you have to send your camera to Arizona for 4 weeks.

Well, since I had already payed for it, I decided what the heck I'll just grin and bear the 4 weeks. A little over a week ago I called to see if they had a status on it. After 5 days of them searching, they said that ups shows that it was delivered to the cleaning people, but yet the cleaning people said they have never seen it. I think someone in the cleaning department just helped themselves to my camera.

Last Tuesday they told me they were doing a warehouse search for it, and if it didn't come up in 5 days they would replace my camera.

I will NEVER ship my camera off to be cleaned again. Instead I hope I can just find someone local who will do it.

OMG I would be so ticked off.

I hope they replace it for you with a brand new one. In fact I would probably tell them to give you the credit so you can pick one up yourself so you know you're getting a brand new one and not a refurbished one.

Try to look around and see if you have a local camera shop near you. We have a great one a few towns over and they are so good with everything I need.

See, I bought mine at Ritz and had the extended warranty (and just recently renewed it) and I have sent my camera out to be serviced and it came back just fine.

at least they'll replace it if they don't find it.

I'm about to send my camera out to be serviced yet again because there's something wrong with it. (2 things actually) and I'm thinking I'd better send it in now than wait and have pictures I'm not happy with during the holidays.
