  • DS, Joseph Edward, was named for his two grandfathers. Joseph was my dad who died from a long cancer battle while I was pregnant, and Edward for my hubby's dad who lives nearby.

This baby is getting a name that I like just for the ring of it-- probably Thomas. I'm big on traditional names (especially ones that don't have multiple confusing spellings).

  • We named our dd Charlotte Isabelle. We had always like the name Isabelle and had discussed it before we got pg. However I didn't want to use it as a first name because I don't like the nickname Izzy and I was afraid people would call her that. The name Charlotte wasn't even in our discussions while going through the baby name book. I read a news story of a actress had died and her middle name was Charlotte. I asked my dh what he thought of it and he liked it. It helped that there's a good friend of the family named Charlotte.
