Question MIL present at birth?

Would you want your MIL to be present at your baby's birth? Why or why not?

No...absolutely not. MIL and I do not get along all that well and I just wouldn't feel comfortable her being in there. When I had Alex, my mom, dad and Wyatt were in the room with me..With Logan my mom was in the operating room. MIL just puts me at my wits end and I couldn't put up with her during a situation like that

I thought you said buy MIL a gift

anyhow....If my MIL were there and I was in labor I don't think I'd care! My Mom and hubby have always been there. My bro was there w/the first. and My Sister was when I had Lilli.

I really love my MIL. I get along with her very well. I wouldn't have minded if she was present for the birth of her granddaughter. My mom was there. Unfortunately she was in Colorado visiting my SIL when Charlotte was born.

My MIL is wonderful as well. She's 78 yrs old and had 5 kids so I'm sure she would be great. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be possible because 1) she lives in KY and is afraid to fly and 2) if I have my MIL, then I would have to have my MOTHER and there's no way I want my mother in there with me. She would drive me nuts!
