Default Pregnant while on Mirena??

I've been on Mirena for about 10 months. My periods have been regular up until now, I'm 10 days late. I know your peroid can stop altogether while on this method of birth control, but the thought of actually being pregnant makes me worry. I'm gonna take a pregnancy test at the end of the week if nothing happens. I just would like to know if anyone else has had this happen and what they did about it.

Definatly test... because your OB would definatly need to know if you are pregnant. They probably won't even remove it if you are....

Best of Luck!

Its very rare for a pg to happen, but there is a tiny chance that it can. I've known of people online that have and went on to carry full term healthy babies with it still in. There is a risk of miscarriage if they take it out.
