Question for moms of multiples

  • I have a good friend who's expecting twins. She's 11 weeks along and has had regular ultrasounds that show both babies are doing well, but she's also had a couple of scary bleeding incidents. They've pretty much put her on bedrest for the time being, so she's pretty freaked out.

I'm just curious how many of you moms of multiples experienced bleeding during your pregnancies? Were you put on bedrest? At what point in your pregnancy and how long did it last? My friend doesn't have wireless access and is supposed to lie down as much as possible, so I'm looking for some information to help easer her mind.

Thanks in advance for your input.

  • Sorry Rudi - I just saw this post now. I had bleeding at the very beginning of my pg with my twins. They said it was probably implanation bleeding which wouldn't be the case with your friend.

I was put on modified bedrest at 24 weeks (up only 8 hours a day) until I got a cervical infection (which caused just a couple of spots of bleeding) at 27 weeks and had to be on 100% bedrest. I hope your friend is doing okay and surviving her bedrest.
