  • In a recent NBC News segment, the March of Dimes was referenced throughout the report about a new study that found that folic acid may help to reduce premature birth by as much as 50-70 percent. Dr. Alan Fleischman, Medical Director at the March of Dimes was interviewed for the segment and the March of Dimes recommendation that every woman of childbearing age take folic acid prior to and during pregnancy was cited.

Here's a link to the clip from the nightly news that talks about why Folic Acid is even more important for pregnant women than medical personel originally thought.
