I find it appalling that there is still corporal punishment in school and would never allow my child to be physically punished. I would absolutely refuse to sign the form.

I couldn't agree more. I think it is ridiculous that a school feels that they can do that to a child. I don't believe in corporal punishment and especially would not be happy if a stranger did that to my child. It was never done in our schools growing up and I'm 41yrs old so it's been long gone for a while now.
