Grades 1-5 start on August 26th, so my oldest will go then. Pre-K & Kindy start on Aug 31 so my middle child will start on that date. We actually received the school supply list in their last report card in June.

1st Grade- Cap Erasers, #2 Pencils, Pencil Sharpers, Pencil Pouch Holder, Sandwich bags, dry erase markers, Composition Notebooks, Handwriting paper, Colored Pencils, glue sticks, kid safe scissors, wooden rulers & Tissues.

Kindy- Playdoh, tissues, dry erase markers, pencils, sandwich bags, hand sanitizer, crayons, glue sticks, kid safe scissors, & Markers ( I also have to provide Diapers, Wipes, spare clothes, cups, silverware for Lexy since she is a Special Ed student)

I went to Walmart and got a pretty good deal on all of it.

My son is going into 3rd grade. Usually supply shopping is a nightmare, but this year isn't so bad. My son has always been in private school and their supply lists were always so elaborate, but this year we moved and he has to go to public school. I got his supply list last week when I enrolled him. I got his supplies the other day at Walmart. I think some of the stuff may have been on sale, but everything cost not much at all anyway.

He needed 7 folders, 4 packs of paper, copy paper, 72 pencils, scissors, sticky notes, 2 composition pads, kleenex, bottle of glue, 2 glue sticks, & 2 packs of colored pencils

what do you have to supply for the kids for school, what grade are they in?

and also bought a Laptop Lunchbox that DP might use now! LOL!) , they don't require a backpack, but we got her one, and 1 art apron. We also had to purchase uniforms and a school t-shirt for field trips.

when do you get a list from the school?

We got it about 3 weeks ago.

do you shop the sales or just go get what you need?
We didn't find hardly anything we needed at WalMart, so we went to Office Max. I don't think anything we needed was on sale.

Naia and Laela are still in preschool and everything is supplied for them (including breakfast and lunch). They go year round.

Maddy I can't belive shaye is starting kindy, where has the time gone.

do you shop the sales or just go get what you need? Try the sales but most of the things are really reasonable thankfully.

when do you kids start school for the year, I know a few have started already. They start back September 8th. DH starts August 22nd at his school. He's a teacher not a really delayed 33 year old. :-)
