Wink "I want that"

Never thought we'd be so happy to hear those words!

Jacob is finally "getting" Christmas this year!

Every commercial that comes on gets the "I want that" or "that's a girl's toy" comment from Jacob.

Tops on his wish list is the T-Rex Mountain thing (by Imaginext- and he's a dino freak), and he really wants this Hotwheels race track set, but I'm just afraid it's a little beyond him right now and he'd just be massively frustrated by it. KWIM? We're still on the look out for a few more things, but we still need a second "big gift" for him (and DD).

Anything on the wishlists of your munchkins?

Are you going to see Santa this year? How do you think that will go?

That's great Melissa! Everytime I see that T-Rex thing I think of Jacob.

Would he like a remote control car of some sort? I got Brent a cheap one but they have a lot nicer ones too!

Skye doesn't get the idea that she'll be getting presents but thats ok cause I do lol. I have gotten her so many baby dolls because she is like a little mommy these days. Thats so cool that Jacob knows now how exciting

What is Jacobs actual diagnosis?
Skye is pdd/nos but a couple of the peds this weekend told me they are seeing more aspergers in her then "autistic"

His official DX is PDD-NOS. The psych did say that he thinks that the DX could be removed/changed to Aspergers as he gets a little older and "catches up". He seems to be develop in spurts- he stays at one point for a long time then catches up for a while. It's enough to drive you batty trying to get an accurate DX

We've been to 3 different evals and each one gave a different (or non) DX.

That is great. I am going to take Zachary to the mall to meet Santa. I think he will do well. He loved it last year so I am going to cross my fingers. I don't think he understands the gift idea but he loves presents and surprises. He really is into cars and trains so that is what he will get this year....
