I dont know about you but as a parent of a child with Autism, I have never heard another parent say "it's preferential" or that "Autism Rates make no sense." The article should have praised that doctors now start looking for symptoms at age 2, instead of making it seem that doctors are labeling every child who walks in the door has it.

IMO, this article just stinks. Sorry.

I had some of the same opinions- I work with alot of children on the autism spectrum. Maybe read todays, thursdays, and friday's articles too- one of the days is supposed to be focused on services and how hard parents have to fight for them in certain areas.

I've been curious for a while if the rates of increase are because of better diagnosis or because more actually have the disorder. Or both.
