With longer term use (after 6 months) clomid can have an adverse affect on fertility, as it can thicken the cervical mucus, making it difficult for sperm to penetrate.
If clomid hasn't worked in 6 months then speak to your specialist about what your options are.
A progesterone test is a blood test usually carried out about a week before your periods is due, it's usually called a CD21 (cycle day) test because women's cycles are 'traditionally' talked about as being 28 days.
