Unhappy Bleeding gums

Hi Everyone. Need some help with this one-
Last week, Wed. DH and I DTD. Friday I ended up getting swollen lymph nodes in my neck and went to the Doc's. Doc thought it was post nasal drip and put me on Allegra D- I didnt think so because he ignored my other signs- scratchy throat, swollen tonsils etc. Saturday I woke up and was even more swollen in the throat and my gums became swollen and bleed very easily. I have canker sores in my mouth and I rarely if ever get them. I stopped the Allegra D on Sat and went to a different doc on Monday. Told her I may be pg- she started me on amoxicillin for my tonsilitis (not post nasal drip) but it was too early to test for pg. Could the swollen gums be an early sign? I looked at some different sites online and they say that you can get them at 2-3 month and it was only a few days before I got them. Regardless, if anyone has any opinions for how to deal with it, it would be much appreciated. They are very painful and I cannot eat normal foods. I have started drinking Ensure and taking prenatal vits. but am worried because I lost weight this week while being sick because of the limited diet. If I am pg, I just dont want to do anything that will hurt the baby in any way.

I doubt the gum problems are an early sign. I have a history of gingivitis problems, but I've had them under control until about six months into this pregnancy. Most of the books say gum problems tend to appear midway through pregnancy.

I was just to the dentist a couple months ago and everything was good. No gingivitis or cavities. Maybe it was an allergic reaction to the Allegra D. I stopped taking it the day after it was prescribed when my gums got swollen and bloody.
Any thing in those books to help relieve the symptoms?

I think it's a reaction to the Allegra D myself...My dad had the same type of reaction to Amox...I also read that bleeding gums don't start until mid-way. I had a slight problem with it around 6 months.

Good luck in your TTC journey.
