Hi! (I'm lurking)
I'm excited for you that something is happening. I think that you have to let yourself get your hopes up somewhat, otherwise you won't go on doing all the things you need to do to get pg. I, too, wonder why he would say you only get 2 follicles with clomid-- sometimes you get more and sometimes you get none, if you're not ovulating like I wasn't. Maybe the IUI itself will do the trick. It's good that you felt comfortable asking questions.
As far as the clomid goes, my friend and I both found that the side effects were more present when we were finishing the 5 days and then for a few days after. I did get used to it after awhile, but I was very emotional and moody.
Hopefully this is the only time you will have to take it!!
Jeanne

Christine,
I was just thinking about you this morning, for some reason you just came to my mind.
I am so glad that you are proceeding with IUI, we have tried it once before, but we did medicated. However, I did take clomid for few months, and I had no sideeffects what so ever. So it is possible to have none. And there is absolutely nothing wrong about getting excited, we wouldn't be human if we didn't. Enjoy this exciting time for you, and i truly hope that this does the trick for you, and you just needed a little kickstart.
