Thumbs down CD16...

...and still no O, this cycle. I'm spending a fortune on flippin' OPKs. The RE told me to use ClearPlan, because they are the best, and to use them starting on CD11. These things are $10 Cdn a pop and I'm now on my 2nd box so I've already spent $100! I know I never ovulate naturally before CD15 so I wouldn't have started them so early, except that I don't know how my body will be different on Clomid. It's entirely normal for me not to ovulate until CD23, so who knows how many of these things I'll take before I actually get a surge? I'm hoping it'll be earlier than that with the clomid, but... ??? who knows.

ALSO I'm starting to get worried because I'm wondering whether I'll actually see the surge - I've not used this brand before, but I did do cheapy OPKs for a couple of months and one month got no +ve despite knowing that I O'd because of temps; I was also testing around 5pm that month so it might have affected it. The other month I got a line that was darker than the other lines, but not quite as dark as the control (that month I was taking them around 2pm). Do you think that is a problem with me or with the tests?

There are so darn many things to worry about and my mind seems to find every single one!

Not used opks at all here sorry. Damn they're expensive over there! (The reason I never used them here but relied on temping/cm). Not much help, but wanted to give you a

Ack!! $10 a pop! That's crazy!!! If you wanted I would be more than happy to pick you up some here... I know they are not nearly as much.

I've used all sorts of brands and never noticed a single bit of difference. My favorite ended up to be the target brand. It always matched my ultra sounds perfectly.

Any signs of o? Wishing it's soon for you.

whoa they're expensive
I think we get 3 in a pack for €25 which is around $19us and I think that is expensive. I hope you O soon, I know on clomid its usually cd 17/18 slightly longer than normal (day 15) but this month I didn't take it and I am O'ing today cd 18 and boy can I feel it which I didn't really on the clomid this time around - go figure. Our bodies certainly know how to mess with our heads!

Good luck Cat.

I was told before by the ladies on the boards that our bodies synthesize(sp) LH in the early morning hours so it is best to use your SECOND morning urine. I have tested with my first morning urine and got no line then on my second trip to the bathroom had a definate positive and again nothing in the afternoon. I just had to try it out for myself to see.

I think it is possible that you are missing it by testing so late in the day. Try it with your second morning urine.

Good Luck to you
