Default The Deed is Done

Well ladies. It's just about done. I've completed the 5 days of clomid and had my CD14 u/s today and there was 1 large follicle that measured at 20x17 (they trigger anything over 18). I got my HcG trigger and will be doing a fresh IUI in the morning. I'll have my progesterone serum done next Saturday and will start Crinone that day. Then on January 2nd I'll take an HPT.

Here's to new millenium baby making!

That follicle sounds wonderful!! I'm just dropping and don't mean to be nosey, but starting P4 on CD22 seems really late to me. I'm not a doctor, but my RE told me that you should always start progesterone (P4) supplementation 48 hours after ovulation and not later. I took daily IM shots of PIO (Progesterone in Oil) to keep from miscarrying my dd (born 2003) so I dealt with P4 quite a lot. You might just ask why they don't start the Crinone sooner to ensure a good lining for the embryo to "land on". Best of luck to you this cycle!

they told me that they needed to get an accurate progesterone serum before they wanted me to start the crinone. but i think you're right. i'll ask them about that at my iui today. whenever i've used crinone in the past it was always immediately after the iui (different doctors). thanx for the heads up.
