Default Dentist question

Alright, here's the scoop... I'm going to be ovulating Wednesday (I think) and I'm trying to decide what to do about going to the dentist. I know, weird. I think I might have a cavity, it hasn't caused me too much grief but I was thinking I wanted to get it taken care of before I got pregnant. But now I'm ovulating way earlier than expected (long story), so I'm trying to decide if it would be better to try and get in tomorrow or Wednesday and try to beat the egg, or to wait a month or two so that I'm further along and a developing baby maybe wouldn't be as compromised. Any thoughts?

I had to have some pretty major dental work done when I was pregnant and my dentist said it was totally fine. The only thing she wouldn't do is the x-rays. Now I was in my 5 or 6 month so I'm not totally sure on early stage pregnancies.

I didn't realize it could interfere with ovulation...I have had 3 or 4 dental appts for ongoing work since last month and actually didn't ovulate this past month. Could that be the cause?

I don't think it would interfere with ovulation, I'm just worried about any medications or whatever harming a baby in the most critical stage. KWIM?

Rats...I thought that might have been my problem last month. :}

I would give your dentist's office a call...that's what I did when I was pregnant. I wasn't sure they could give me the freezing but I couldn't have gotten the work done without it. I think they said something about the last trimester being a concern.

I would call and it would depend on what you are having done I bet. If it's just a regular cleaning and a quick filling, I'd go.

Let me know what they say. I'm interested to know what they think.
