  • This is my first time on the site. I don't know what's going on with me. I've been trying to get pregnant for about a year and haven't been able to. I have a two year old daughter so I know its possible or at least it was but I'm starting to wonder. I had a miscarriage before I got pregnant with Clara and I've had 3 since I had her. I've been to the doctor's but they said they couldn't do anything more than what I've been doing. Any suggestions?

  • we were told we could NEVER get pregnant, and i have a little girl now who is 19 months old. all i can suggest temping and charting... those seem to help everyone else. i have LONG cycles, so i can never pinpoint my ovulation. i think it might be around day 23 or 24, so hopefully this is the month for us now that i have that info!
hoping for the best!! what cd are you on?

  • have you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility? it's a great book with lots of useful information. i have long cycles with irregular ovulation (if at all) and i found the book quite helpful in figuring out for myself what was going on with me. going in to see the doctor armed with information is a good thing.

  • I also suggest reading TCOYF. I was having trouble conceiving #2 and after the 1st month of charting, I was pregnant. It helps you to be aware of what your body is doing and plan the best time to do the BD. It's a pain to wake up and take temps etc but it's definitely worth it. I also think stress plays a big role in conceiving. When I stopped getting frustrated that it was taking so long, it happened. Good luck!

  • Have your Factor Five Leiden tested. I kept having miscarriages and just some random nurse asked if I ever had that tested. It's a blood clotting disorder (clot too much) and makes you 15 times more likely to miscarry. I did bloodthinners throughout my pregnancy and it's going great! We did invitro and it worked just fine. I also found out my tubes were blocked through a sonohistogram. Has your doctor done all the tests on you?? Good luck.
