Default Enlightening experience today...

I went to see friends of ours. They are 2 boys and a girl. Ages 5, 3, and 8 months. This is the first time I've been to their house since they had the newest baby, and of course I was intrigued.
And... I was pleasantly surprised. It was crazy there, dont get me wrong, but it was no more crazy than any of the other times we were there with just the 2 boys. She just kind of fit right into the family... like she was always there, and really, the older boys did their own thing, stopping occasionally to give her a hug or say something to her. There were arguments, tantrums, naughty behavior, but it really had nothing to do with there being a third child there. It had to do with having 3 and 5 year old boys!

It also made me realize that we need to get this house up on the market and into a comfy more spacious one too. ANd luckily, the little girl was sweet as sugar and DH was definitely warming up to the idea of having a baby around again.

So this helped me immensely.

I do believe that babies fit into families beautifully. Had it been another three year old, the roof may have fallen in.

Seriously though, I do think that God had one great plan to make families work and babies are a big part of it -- they may be work, but they create peace, nurturing, sweetness that can get lost in the everyday pace of older kids. JMHO -- something I've pondered in those quiet baby moments.....

I'm glad it helped DH!!
