Default How do you deal with disappointment?

DH and I have recently begun TTC. It didn't work last month and I was very disappointed. We tried again this month and I'm currently waiting on AF (due Wed) -- part of me wants to take a test, but I'm afraid of the disappointment, I guess in my head it won't be as disappointing if AF shows up -- does that make sense?! So, my question is -- how do you deal with disappointment with BFN and/or AF showing up each month and you not getting a BFP?!

You can test, and if its BFN wonder if it was wrong or when AF's coming or not test and deal with it when AF shows up. Either way, its a waiting game. I don't test often. It's hard to deal with it if it's your first try or your 30th (we've been trying since Aug 2005 with a 6 month hiatus last summer). We went through so many losses and found out DH had no sperm! We have gone through 7 failed IUI's and those get harder. But anyway you look at it, its like playing the lotto, you never really know when you're going to hit it lucky (ps im in Las Vegas right now

So good luck! It's ok to cry no matter what try you're on!

How do you deal with it...you just do. Take one day at a time, knowing some will be bad, some good, and pray that you'll have your little miracle in your arms very soon.

Sorry about the BFN. (((hugs)))
