Default how would you proceed? (IF issues)

Ok, for anyone out there who doesn't know, I've had a lot of problems ttc #1 and #2, but they're here. Both times I got pg, I was on clomid, metformin, and some other miscellaneous stuff.

Both times I got pregnant, I had an hsg (dye in the tubes test) and both times the doctor found a fibroid in my uterus, and both times she said I'd need surgery when my period came to remove it. Both cycles, I never had the surgery because I was pregnant. The hsg test is notorious for "clearing out the tubes." However, she didn't want to do the test the last time because she said my getting pg was evidence of healthy tubes was a pregnancy. My ob was snotty about it too-- "why did you have another one? You had already been pregnant." So I really don't think she's going to allow me to have a third one.

I have to decide what to do.
A I could go back to my RE and see what she wants me to do.
B I could try a new RE, and go in there "fresh" and see if he or she will give me the test.

I'm comfortable with my RE now. We had some issues, but she lets me e-mail her with questions and concerns and she also feels comfortable with me asking her if we can do x or y. But, she's an hour away. The other nearest RE is 40 mins away, so it's not that big of a difference.

Sorry so long!

Maybe you could feel her out about the HSG and see how she's feeling about it. She might be all for it.

If she doesn't want to do it, that might be enough push to find a new RE.

Either way, you have to be comfortable with your decision.

Keep us posted.

I say go to her and say you feel the HSG was a contributing factor into you getting PG, if she gets funny then I'd remind her that you can take your business elsewhere!

Wishing you lots of luck

hmm-- is there valid reasoning behind not wanting to do is, besides cost? ie- risk to you? if not, then go for it-- all this insurance stuff is for the birds if it will quickly help you get pg....
