Smile My IVF update

Hi everyone,

Just thought I would give you all an update on my ivf. DH has been giving me my lupron inj. every morning before he goes to work.
He even sets the alarm on the w/e and gets up at 6:30am to give me my shot and returns to bed without a whisper or mutter in complaint!
He is sooo cute with how dedicated he is to giving me my shot at the exact time every morning.

I had to give myself one shot myself when he was out of town. It was kinda tricky getting up the nerve to do it. I ended up giving myself a bruise. I thought that was funny. I give needles all the time
and I end up bruising myself !

So I've been taking the Lupron for 9 days now. The first few days I felt no side effects but lately it's been pretty bad. I've been so tired.

It probably did'nt help that I worked a double shift, then short shifted and AF showed all at the same time over the w/e. I was sooooo tired Sunday and Monday. I was as pale as a ghost and felt terrible. I'll never do that again. I was trying to pick up overtime to pay for IVF but it's not worth it. I just started taking Vit. B complex in hopes to gain more energy.

I start my cycle monitoring on Sept 10th. I have a good feeling about this now. At first I kept thinking I was going to fail at IVF too but lately I have been feeling really positive about it all and I'm really getting excited. It's our best chance yet. Who knows this could very well be my last af for a long while. Oh I hope so.
If it does not work, well... I will just have to cry and then try and shake it off and try again!
Hopefully I will have enough fert. eggs frozen to try a few more times.

So in a nut shell I'm doing well and the needles are really not that bad at all.
I'll keep you all posted!
Take care everyone!

Sounds like things are going well so far. The Lupron makes me tired too - by about 4 p.m. I'm dragging and yawning, and I've been sleeping like a rock
. Your hubby is a doll for getting up to do that everyday.

I posted a message for you on the IVF board last week
