Hi all,

I'm hoping you all can help me out. My husband and I have been TTC for about 4 months. My cycles were pretty regular the first couple of months and then they went haywire and are all over the place. Last month I was 8 days late and now this month I'm even later and I know I'm not pregnant because all tests show negative and I don't have any symptoms. I had a pretty heavy period last month and now I'm having some pain on my right side about an inch or two above my vagina. I had a hernia when I was 11 and had surgery there...I wondered if maybe I had another hernia, but I don't feel any sort of bump. And now still not getting my period I'm wondering if something is going on down there. Does anyone know what might be going on? Thanks in advance for your help!

You may have a cyst causing the pain and the irregular periods. You should have it checked out!

I wish I could help but I do not know what is going on down there. However, I would go in for an exam. Even if you have been only trying for 4 months (the only reason I say only because some doctors do not consider it an issue until you have been trying a year) I would tell them that your periods are starting to be irregular and you think it is messing up your chances of conceiving. They will run some test and it could be anything. I would go see your ob/gyn. Welcome to TTC!! I hope you get to move on to the DD boards soon.

Sorry to hear that you're having problems with your cycle. I am guessing that you were on the BCP before stopping it 4 months ago?

There could be lots of causes for your irregular cycles, and I agree with Amanda and Leann, the best way to get yourself sorted is to get referred to see a specialist. Either an OBGYN with experience of treating infertility, or a RE.

They are more likely to get you back on track quicker.
