Default This is new and scary

This is my first month of officially ttc! I am worried that I won't be successful on having a baby. For the past year my husband and I have not used any contraceptives and I have not gotten pregnant. My job includes working out of town for several weeks at a time and therefore we were not often together during ovulation so I guess it's not surprising that I did not get pregnant. I feel the pressure of ttc as we have a fairly short period of months to try before my job will pull me back out of town. I'm 28, and after a few years of marriage the expectations that we will announce a pregnancy are growing. I am trying to get into better health and into a positive mindframe.

I recommend picking up a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. This is a great book that will help you maximize your chances of conceiving when you and your husband are together. In the meantime, jump right in here on the message boards!
