Just to let you know in the month of August I never seen my LH surge with the opk.I always do!!! I mean ALWAYS but not that month.I did however ovulate! I had progesterone on day 21! So it is possible.

I think I'm coming to the conclusion those opk's are really hard to use.

It's unlikely that you missed it, as long as you're testing at the same time in the afternoon and making sure that reduce the amount you drink for about 2 hours before you test, then it should be pretty reliable.

However, if the time's different (like one day you test at 10am and the next you do it at 11pm before bed), then you could miss the surge. Or you drink a bit more before testing then it could water down the hormones in your urine making the line appear lighter. You should stop drinking 2 hours before you test.

Saffy, they're not hard to use. I used OPK's for about a year, but it just took me a few cycles to get the hang of it, but once I did, it was fine and the results were reliable. If one test threw up an unexpected low result then I could usually trace it back to drinking a bit more before testing.
