Default Is it possible?

to have your beta HCG level drop but then have a normal pregnancy? Went to the hospital last night because my spotting went from a light brown to a heavier period red. HCG level went from 784 on 8/15 to 567 last night which means the dr thought that I could be miscarrying. I havent lost any tissue- maybe just a couple clots/mucus and the flow has lightened up a lot today. Havent even filled a pad let alone have very much blood on a pad at all. No cramping either. U/S showed a sac, but it wasnt as far along as what it should be for where we thought that I was. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

I would think if you got pg with twins and miscarried one twin and went on to carry second twin to term that the numbers would drop but then rebound

Purely speculation though.

And I think that if THAT happens that usually one of the twins measured significantly smaller than the other...
