I did not feel too much pain during my Hysterosalpingogram and took nothing for it although I have heard of people taking Tylenol/Advil prior to it. It felt like a brief but sharp cramp as the dye flows through your uterus/tubes. I ended up being allergic to the Hypaque dye used and landed in hospital within 8 hours though...something to watch for is swelling inad stiffness in your joints. Supposed to only happen if you re allergic to shellfish - but I am NOT and still reacted to the dye...

Hoping all is clear for you!
