Default What do you do??

In an effort to liven things up I'd like to know what you guys do for a living! We've got some new people around and I thought this might be a good way to get to know each other better

I'm a third grade teacher in Texas. I'm currently in that awkward time between Thanksgiving and Christmas where they are highly distracted and overly energetic and not able to concentrate AT ALL.

Yeah, but wasn't that the best time of the year when YOU were in third grade?

I am currently working as a CNA at a hospital (which basically means that I do the grossest, least fun things you can imagine someone having to do at a hospital) but I was recently hired to work in the Jewelry Dept. at Wal-Mart (where DH is a manager, so I get to see him more!). It's not exactly my first choice, but I still haven't quite figured out what I want to be "when I grow up" (haha) and anything is better than working at the hospital.

I'm a high school teacher, and believe me, it's not just grade 3s that get overexcited about Christmas...

I've gone through so many careers it's not funny
But right now I am just stepping down a bit, and doing a regular 8-4pm job at a college. I'm a Course File Officer, which means I set up and maintain the courses (for part-time studies). I also maintain and set up programs for all the full-time Trades Vocationals (like Carpentry, Plumbing, Aircraft....). I like that I don't brign work home with me anymore. Boring and monotonous, though.

I'm an Assistant Office Manager in a singe attorney law practice. I do legal secretary and paralegal work, the bookkeeping including payroll, and just about everything else.

I am looking for new work. I've topped out here since I can't get promoted any higher unless I want to go to law school. Yeah, like I have time to do that.

BTW, the "office manager" is the attorney's wife.
