Question What happens at your doctor's appt.?

Hi ladies!

It is now I think month 9 or 10 of serious TTC and we've decided we're going to go ahead and book an appt. with the OB/GYN. I know they only want to see you at 1 year of TTC (I'm 28), but after a lot of strugging, it's my body and I'm going to be seen!

Does anyone know the processes and steps of what happens from here? I can't seem to find any answers on the Internet so I thought I would ask all the real experts on here.

What can I expect? Do I go to my OB/GYN? Do I bring my husband with me? Do they take tests that day? At what point do you go to a fertility specialist?

Thank you so much for your help!!!!!!!!!!

See if your insurance requires a referral. Mine doesn't and neither did the clinic. If not, just call an re and set up an appt. It may take you that long to get in anyway.

At the RE's office, you should bring your husband. Even if they don't do any tests, you'll want him there, just to hear "the plan" and ask questions, etc. They will ask you a lot of questions, take a medical history, and then probably plan to do other tests.
