I would proceed with both. Adoption can take a while in Alberta...we have two sets of friends that were on the waiting list for almost 2 years before children were placed with them.

So you never know you might get pregnant but have a toddler by the time a baby is placed with you .

I would also proceed with both however some adoption agencies will terminate your application if they find out you are pg. I had this happen to a friend who was adopting from China. I think it had more to do with the Chinese government though. I guess she was aware of the claus when she signed on but honestly didn't think she could get pg. She also had to agree not to get pg for the first year so that all of their time could be devoted to the adoptive baby... I think it's all bull but you have to find out those terms ahead of time.

i agree with the other ladies. If it were meant to be that you have two babies together then it was meant to be. I think it will all work out

Thank you for your opinions. The agency we plan to adopt from ( in Louisana) the wait time is any where from two months to a year, but the references we talked to all had a wait time of 3 to 6 months, with the exception of one. In our homestudy we did say we would be willing to adopt a child up to a year old. DH talked to the agency today and they responded that they never had anyone ask them that before. They said they are willing to work with us in any way possible.

I'd probably continue on with both. If you're meant to have two babies close in age, you'll be able to handle it.

Keep talking it through with DH and I'm sure you'll come to the right decision for your family.
