Thanks. Should I try to make sure I test at exactly the same time everyday. It is so hard to do that with dogs and a toddler. I didn't know how important the time was. I POAS OPK and it was -. So I will just pray that I didn't miss my surge!!!

Temping is tricky if you can't have a regular routine. Almost all the guidelines say that you need to take your temp at the same time (+/-30 minutes) every morning. (If you take it at 7:30 a.m., for example, you donít want to take it earlier than 7 a.m. or later than 8 a.m. on other days.)

You shouldn't get up, sit up, walk around, or go to the bathroom before taking your temperature. The minute after you wake up, you need to pop the thermometer in (put it within handís reach the night before.)

You need to have had at least three to four straight hours of sleep before taking the temperature in the morning. If you stayed up all night, or you woke up and walked around at night repeatedly, it will throw off your results.

You can find some more info here -

I'm guessing that for a number of reasons your readings can't really be relied on this month, so I'd rely on the OPK's, which with having a toddler, could be your best option anyway.

Wishing you lots of luck
