Thumbs down A little Jerry

This isn't really a vent; more of a disgusted, creeped out thread. But, I wasn't sure where else to put. And I guess I am kind of irked by the whole thing.

I was on the computer earlier and kept hearing something in the kitchen messing with the dog's food. I knew it wasn't the dog because he was sleeping by the front door and Vincent was down for a nap. I get up and go in the kitchen, leaving the light off so I don't startle whatever it is (and because I was sure it was a roach and I don't want to see that.) Nothing is there...I turn the light on. As soon as I turn the light on a little mouse comes running out of my pantry, climbs into the dog bowl, grabs a piece of food, and runs back into the pantry! I HAVE A MOUSE IN MY KITCHEN!!!!

Now, like I said, I'm not really mad about it. Mice don't bother me. When we were kids, my brother and I would ask to stay with my uncle all the time because he was living with some people who, at night, their kitchen was overrun by mice. We'd leave the lights off and sneak into the kitchen to catch the mice in the refridgerator. It was fun to swing the door open really fast and watch the mice run every which way. We would catch them in glass jars just to look at them and then let them go back into the kitchen. When you're a kid this kind of thing is cool, at least it was to us. And we never ate their food either, lol.

Anyway, so I got my camera and took some pictures of it and a short video (just over one minute long) showing the mouse come out of the pantry 3 times. I plan on taking this up to the complex office and requesting they do something about it. I don't want them to kill it; just get it out of my home and far away. I wish I knew where it came from. We've lived here for almost two months and this is first I've heard or seen it. It is kind of cute though, lol.

Hmmm...now that I look at the pics some more, it kind of looks like a mole. What is the difference between a mole and a mouse? Don't pay attention to the ugly a$$ wall paper in the picks. We live in an apartment, I didn't pick it out.

He may drive me absolutely crazy sometimes,
But, he'll always be my best friend,
And the love of my life.

That does sort of look like a mole. It would be odd for one to get into a house or apartment though. They generally live underground.
Hope your complex gets rid of it quick!

I was thinking a shrew or mole also, a mouse has a long tail and pointy nose that has a short tail and flat face. I would most certianly talk to the manager about getting rid of them.

It's not a mole we have those and we've caught them in the yard. They have different mouths and look creepy.

I'd be freaking out.
