re outside alone... but I wouldn't think it when they were near their owner. The hawk must have been really hungry I guess!

He moved the dog to under a tree & tied the leash to it!! That dog was pretty overweight, so I don't know
if the hawk could have actually taken it.
Like I tell my kids "Wild animals can't go grocery shopping or to McDonalds... they have to eat what's available." Unfortunately, for that dog owner.... the dog was available.
