As everyone knows, it's hard to get tables in restraunts on Sunday afternoons. But we've been looking forward to going to Steak and Shake all week, so went after church. We got in after me having to go practically around half the building to find a wheelchair ramp and there was no one ahead of us waiting and they were cleaning off one of the very few wheelchair accessible tables. So the greeter says it will just be a few minutes, they are cleaning off our table. No biggie. we wait about 5-10 minutes and she comes back and tells us, the manager won't let us have that table, it's reserved for a party of 6, we'll have to wait at least 20 minutes!

Dh bellows, "what party of 6?" "they aren't here yet"......EXCUSE ME? This is a restraunt that isn't even supposed to take reservations in the first place, denying us a table for a party that isn't even there! We left!

DH called the district manager and complained. They even said at the district office that they are not supposed to take reservations.

Did your DH ask for some sort of gift card or something like that. I would have told them if they didnt give me something that I would go out there with picket signs and make a huge scene

I would have been mad!!!!!

As it was, Dh made a pretty good scene and several people who came in after us left when they heard them say that. And the district manager is supposed to call DH tomorrow and hopefully we will be scoring some free meal coupons or something.

What a bunch of bologna.
