Let me just start out by saying that DH's scuzzins are the kind of people who, on the outside, you would think were poor. They look poor, dress poor, etc. However, they are NOT poor. She is a RN at a hospital so she alone probably makes more than dh and I together (and we are NOT poor) and her dh has a decent job too.

Well DH, Josh and Moo just came back from a scuzzin birthday party (I got out of it because we're having an open house tomorrow.) Now the scuzzins have 3 kids, who we ALWAYS buy fundraiser crap from. They have no problem dialing us up to ask us to buy stuff, magazines, cookies, popcorn (canned and microwave) etc. I sent Josh's cookie dough sale with them, and not one person--- not even Mike's aunt and uncle (who have plenty and are the parents of the scuzzins) bought ONE THING. These are the same ppl who brought their family of 5 to Josh's birthday party WITHOUT RSVP'ing and gave him $5.

I won't feel one bit guilty buying the GS cookies from the random girl outside wal-mart now. Grrrr......

OK, I am totally laughing mao about the term "scuzzins" - I wish I could steal it, but I don't have any. As for the fundraiser stuff, simply say no to them and definetly by from the cute girl scouts at Walmart.

Uch... that's totally obnoxious... they should totally return the favor & buy a bucket of cookie dough!! I have 6 (almost 7) nieces/nephews & I buy something everytime they ask me. Even if you don't have a lot of $$, it's for a good cause and you can usually find something for about $10 anyways.

(I scan every fundraiser my kids get & attach them to an e-mail. I send it to our nearby family & friends along with the schools address so they can mail in their order with a check.
