Yea, definitely find a way to work something out. I'm sure his mother can relate and remembers how much fun it was to watch her own baby grow & learn new things.

Not to add fuel to the fire, but IMO you also gotta sit down your Dh and have a discussion about his role in the family dynamic. Being flighty about work may have been okay when it was just the 2 of you, but now you have a daughter and she depends the 2 of you for everything.

Scheduling may seem harsh but I will say in the life a a 2 year old knowing what to expect is crucial. This way all adults in the situation can say to your DD this is your time with Mommy and she knows what to expect and not struggle with will I see her now or not.

This has been true with both our children (to various degrees) but they like to know what to expect and this way you get to dedicate time and be excited also to know here is my time and people will respect that.

Good Luck and I hope you find time to enjoy your beautiful daughter while supporting your family
