Is she really young? That sounds like something I might have done my first year of teaching (minus the "you don't have to write me a letter" thing-- that was just plain awful!)

You were pretty clear in the past what your wishes were, so if you want to pull down her pants, wipe her, wash her hands for her, and wipe them dry, you're her mom and you should decide this. It would be different if you were sitting at conferences saying "Gosh, Aislinn wants us to do everything for her and gee I wonder why." I probably would have been so mad I would have cried (after I left of course).

She's actually somewhat older, probably in her late 50s. Kind of old-school obviously, but since she does so well in our system, she's been willing to learn in the past. I hope she's able to at least see the parents' perspective in the future.

Oh man!!! That is just terrible!! I would be horrified if the educators at Alexa's center would take calls while taking care of my child. I expect them to welcome and support parent involvement and appreciate that they are part of the team having the honor and priviledge to help raise the child. I would not have needed or wanted to write a letter as I would have told her point blank what I thought of her. The letter comment points to a complexed character, full of bitterness and imaturity (despite her age) and I would not want her to take care of my daughter for any length of time. Good for you for holding back in front of your daughter, you are a better person than I!!

I understand that no daycare is perfect, but this is beyond ridiculous!! I will be fuming on your behalf until Monday!!

Big hugs!!!

Jo
