Q&A: Pain in abdomen in 1st trimesterAnne Sommers, Licensed Midwife
Q I am in my 9th week and I sometimes feel pain in the right side of abdomen. My normal body temperature sometimes raises to 98.6. Is it normal? Thanks
A Any pain should be checked out by your midwife or M.D. Pain in the right side could indicate a number of things including a cyst on your ovary, a bladder infection, or appendicitis. It seems that your temperature is not elevated, which would be a sign of infection. A pelvic exam, a urinalysis and a complete blood count will give you more information.
