1 CommentsWhat is happening internally?
Day 1 of the cycle is the first day of menstrual bleeding, also known as the follicular phase of the cycle. The uterus begins to shed the lining, blood, and the unfertilized egg through the vagina. The hormones estrogen and progesterone are fairly high. However, the presence of these hormones rapidly decline .
Outward symptoms:
You may experience cramps, bloating and/or a headache. Bleeding at times may seem heavy. Basal body temperature may or may not have dropped down, due to the fact that there is still some progesterone surging through your body.
