Menstrual Cycle Day 2
What is happening internally?
The uterine lining is shedding. The blood flow may be heavy at times. Estrogen and progesterone levels are slowly dropping, and the body is preparing for the new cycle. Within the ovaries, some of the eggs are being prompted to begin maturing.
Outward symptoms:
Headache, bloating, and cramps may be some of the symptoms you experience--or none at all. It's normal for the basal body temperature to remain high after menstruation has begun.
